Travel To Canynge Hall and Oakfield House
From the M5
From the M5 take junction 17 signposted to Clifton, Severn Beach and Zoo. Continue along the A4018, going straight across two roundabouts and all sets of traffic lights. You will pass Badminton School on your right. With the Downs on your right, at the second roundabout, at Blackboy Hill, take the second left turn off into Whiteladies Road. Continue straight down Whiteladies Road and you will find Canynge Hall on your right on Whatley Road just prior to Clifton Down Shopping Centre and railway station. There is only on-street parking available for visitors. Oakfield House is also situated on the right, further down on Oakfield Place off of Oakfield Road.
From the M4/M32
Continue to the end of the M32. At the traffic lights turn right and proceed along the A38 dual carriageway, following the signs for Inner Circuit Road and City Centre. At the roundabout go straight on, past the Bus Station on your left, following signs for Clifton. Continuing straight through all sets of traffic lights, you will pass the Wills Memorial Building and the Museum on your right. Staying to the right follow the road round to the right and then to the left. Keeping in the right hand lane drive straight on with he Victoria Rooms facing you. Follow the road round to the right in front of the Victoria Rooms and left on to Whiteladies Road. Carry straight on up Whiteladies Road and you will find Oakfield House, situated on Oakfield Place, just off of Oakfield Road on the left hand side. Further up the hill, Canynge Hall is on Whatley Road just after Clifton Down Shopping Centre and railway station. There is only on-street parking available for visitors.
