Room Booking

Viewing Bookings

Bookings for current and future weeks are viewable here.

  • Filter on "Canynge Hall" or "Oakfield House" to restrict to School rooms.
  • Select multiple rooms by holding the Ctrl key down.
  • Select the week. (NB. Selecting multiple weeks is not informative).
  • Click View Bookings.

The School has a strict room booking policy that gives priority to teaching over other uses.

Making Bookings

Room bookings can be requested by emailing at least two contacts assigned to each room.

Room capacity varies depending on configuration of seating, etc.

* If a booking made by staff external to the School requires any modification to the teaching PCs, e.g. the installation of additional software, then there will be a £10 charge per PC. This should be made clear to the person attempting to book LG.09 prior to the booking being accepted.

Booking a Room

First review the room booking policy and read the notes describing available facilities in the teaching/meeting rooms and computer teaching room.

1. Go to  https://www.bris.ac.uk/syllabus-plus/ and click on Syllabus+ Portal.

2. After login, you get a grey page. Click on TTPRODxx at the bottom of the page (where xx is the current academic year).

3. Click on the Web Room Booking icon.

4. Against Building, select Oakfield House or Canynge Hall

5. Against Expected size, if you put 5 you'll see the smaller rooms, if you put 20 you'll see only the big rooms, but 10 sees all of them.

6. Click on the Date and select the start and end times

7. click Next and check the box next to your chosen room, click Next

8. in the description box, enter SSCM/shortname/type of event/event number/BookerName

e.g.      SSCM/DavidExt/meeting/1/JanHill

A follow-up meeting would be SSCM/DavidExt/meeting/2/JanHill

It is important that the bookers name is appended so we all know who has booked the room and what the booking is for.
