The Behavioural Medicine Group utilises a variety of complementary research paradigms to examine the psychological and behavioural factors associated with disease processes. That is, what factors predispose individuals to ill-health and increase progression of existing complaints? Furthermore, can the deleterious effects of these factors be reduced through interventions that alter these psychological and behavioural factors?
