Research Interests
I work on an ESRC grant examining the impact of family socio-economic status on outcomes in childhood and adolescence (
http://www.bristol.ac.uk/ifssoca/). The project makes use of data from the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC:
http://www.bristol.ac.uk/alspac). My main interests are in health inequalities, life course epidemiology, and improving the use of observational data. I completed my PhD at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in 2008, my thesis focused on the use of the wealth index as a measure of socio-economic position in low- and middle-income countries.
