Research Interests
Molecular Genetics and Genetic Epidemiology of cardiovascular disease and obesity, particularly the role of the Growth Hormone pathway. I am funded by a British Heart Foundation Intermediate Fellowship: “The Growth Hormone Gene Cluster: Relationship with Early Growth and Adult Cardiovascular Disease”.
Bioinformatics and computational biology, including: identification of Splicing and Translational Efficiency Polymorphisms (STEPs), pathway informatics and LD/haplotype analysis (MIDAS – multiallelic interallelic disequilibrium analysis software http://www.genes.org.uk/software/midas/).
